Yuma IT is an Australian Indigenous-led IT services company based in Canberra, ACT. We bring deep technical capability to government, research institutions, and organisations across Australia—delivering enterprise-grade technology with purpose.
Our founders bring decades of combined experience spanning Microsoft, Australian Federal Government, CSIRO, and Private Sector, and Non-Governmental Organisations projects. From building components that power Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure to delivering national-scale monitoring programs and mobile applications used in the field, our team has a proven track record of shipping solutions that work.
We've seen well-resourced organisations get access to enterprise-grade technology while smaller Indigenous businesses and community organisations are locked out of critical digital services. Yuma IT exists to close that gap—delivering battle-tested, affordable solutions built from the ground up.

Koala Guardians — High-Tech Tracking
Primary developer on a University of the Sunshine Coast citizen-science initiative deploying solar-powered Bluetooth ear tags and a companion app to enable community-driven koala monitoring across South East Queensland.
National Koala Monitoring Program
Primary systems integrator for a $10 million Australia-wide initiative to determine koala population numbers, distributions, health, and trends. Integrates thermal drones, acoustic monitoring, citizen science apps, and satellite imagery into a unified national database.
Healthy Country AI
A $2.6 million Indigenous-led initiative equipping remote land and sea managers across Cape York and the NT with AI, drones, satellite data, and cloud dashboards to monitor over 3 million hectares of Country.
